Our Buildings

Petrockstowe village was lucky enough to have two places of worship.

Petrockstowe Methodist Church is in the centre of the village and was built in 1933.  It is a charming chapel with a schoolroom and is part of the West Devon Methodist Circuit. Further photos here.

St Petroc's Church is the parish church and sits above the village. There are over 700 years of church history in this building  dating from the 12th Century.  It is sadly in need of much repair and we have not been able to obtain grants to repair the roof or repoint the walls.  It failed its electrical inspection due to water ingress and has been closed for worship and handed back to Exeter Diocese. More historical information can be found here.
